Drs Karin Schofield and Eric Altermann visited Oregon State University and the University of Oregon during a week long visit.

They met with Prof Yanyun Zhao and her team to discuss progress on the Smart Bioplastics programme and work on the future research directions.

Dr Alan Kadish kindly hosted both researchers during their stay and organised discussions with other research teams at both universities to explore the broader application space of functionalised bioparticles and future collaborations with the Centre. A highlight was the guided tour through the UoO Knight Campus and the opportunity to connect with some exciting researchers.
