Please join us in celebrating our returning Pūhoro STEMM Academy Summer intern, Alice Boyd. Alice studies dentistry at the University of Otago and has completed her second eight week research internship in our team under the supervision of Dr Neroli Thomson, following her first internship last year. During her research, Alice continued exploring the application of functionalised bioparticles as a preventative solution against with Enterococcus faecalis but also investigated a new application of endolysin bioparticles against strep throat in Aotearoa. Alice was a selected again as speaker at the Pūhoro Pō Whakanui celebration. We wish her a bright future and very successful career.
